The LG OLED TV features best-in-class images. Our project expresses the product’s stunning design and technology in an audience-capturing production.

Jono Studio collaborated with New York-based still life photographer Sam Kaplan as the photographer and director, who successfully captured the product’s aesthetic value with a detailed and unique creative vision. His work was combined with leading filmography equipment to capture the most minute of details, going as far as incorporating a robot arm during shooting.
After viewing the product’s images and film, audiences were shown not just the product’s impeccable design, but also established a level of trust and connection. We used the best crew, efficient processes, and newest technology to capture every detail of an ultra-high-resolution display.

Floating illusion

Videography
We used a robot arm (“KIRA”) to film movements and angles that cannot be replicated by a human. By also collaborating with a seasoned lighting team, we captured the display, a flat object, with a higher degree of depth.

Photography
Sam Kaplan used the reflectiveness and transparency of glass, LG OLED TV E8’s main material, throughout the shooting. Glass is an object that, when combined with creative lighting, makes for truly unique images. The fact that the glass made the product appear to be floating in the air also allowed Sam to make a near-magical image throughout the project.

Product Design & Metaphor
To make the product appear to be floating and draw attention to the glass material, the entire set and props were white. We also incorporated triangular prisms and glass cubes throughout shooting to capture different forms of light.
